Shovel Man 11

A recreation of the cover art for the blue bomber's 11th installment in his classic franchise using the characters from a modern indie game classic featuring knights and shovels reminiscent of that beloved 8-bit generation. Of all the designs I've made thus far when I decided to really give t-shirt designing a real shot this might have been the most difficult one I've ever made. Sure it took a lot of time and my right shoulder is still sore but this might go down as my greatest piece... for now. Really enjoyed Shovel Knight and am looking forward to Mega Man 11 so this seemed like a no brainier.

Rough Sketch. And before you ask the answer is yes. I did tape 4 sheets of legal sized printer paper and produced this sketch. I find that drawing a design on a large canvas usually results in a better drawing. It also lends them to being easier to scan.
